Jim Korkis provides Disney enthusiasts with a wealth of information about this iconic company and the people that made it great. I can't wait to read Volume 4.
Another great book by Jim Korkis. A lot of insight into Walt Disney with more unknown stories. Can't wait to read the next Vault of Walt book.
I enjoyed reading Jim's book because not only did I learn fun little tid-bits about Walt Disney and Disneyland, but I got to step back in time to an era that can never be replicated again and feel the richness of the times!
Korkis does it again. Keep them coming Mr. Korkis. I can't get enough of these great tales!
I look forward to every Jim Korkis book because I know his information will be checked as thoroughly as possible and I love that he is such a masterful storyteller. I've enjoyed the creative works of Walt Disney and the Disney Company for many years and Jim's books have helped keep my interest after all these years. I expected a little drop off in quality for this 3rd Volume, after all - it is the THIRD volume. But Jim didn't disappoint me. I learned something new in every subject section and Jim's gift of storytelling made every section special to me. I most enjoyed the sections "Walt's Smoking and Infamous Cough" (because Jim clarified that subject in ways I had not read before), "Letters to Ruth" (because little has been written about Walt's relationship with his younger sister Ruth and I enjoyed the info Jim shared), "The Lost Recipe Walt's Favorite Apple Pie" (because I had never come across this specific fave food of Walt's info before), and "Off His Rockers" (because I've always enjoyed this short and much appreciated the additional information on this short). Another book by Jim has also been recently published - "Animation Anecdotes". I'll do a review on it soon.
I've read the first two "Vault of Walt" books, and I have to say that rather than the concept getting old and tired as one might suspect, it was just as interesting as the others in the series. Korkis seems to have a neverending supply of stories to tell about all things Disney, and all of them are fascinating. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves Disney stories.
